Company History and Mission
Dave Easom Production Company, Inc. is located in historic Natchez, Mississippi, where our company philosophy is to generate, drill, develop, and produce oil and gas profitably.
The company was founded in 1985 when Dave Easom, a Petroleum Geologist, realized a desire to establish professional independence. As challenging as it was during the industry downturn in the mid- to late-1980's, a clear vision and hard work produced results. The company has grown from zero oil and gas production to its current size, consisting of numerous producing properties around the region.
We have developed a diversified business strategy that includes generating and developing our own oil and gas properties, while also providing contract operations for independent producers. Through this diversification, the company has remained profitable through past downturns in the oil and gas industry. This strategy positions the company for accelerated growth during upturns in the industry through exploratory and operational functions.
Typical Client Base
The typical client base for the contract oil and gas operations includes small- to mid-size oil and gas producers. We have found that the smaller independent producers lack the operational network and staff to operate their own oil and gas properties. Through our contract operations, the operational network and staff is provided, while also allowing the smaller independent producer to have input as to specific operational functions.
In addition, we have found that the mid-size independent producers who have oil and gas properties in our focus area find it very practical and economical to contract our operational services. By contracting our services, the mid-sized independent is not required to maintain an office and personnel to operate producing properties that may not be strategically located to their corporate office. Our ability to operate effectively and efficiently for our clients has proven to be successful, judging by the large number of contract operations we have obtained, and the high level of satisfaction our clients enjoy.
